Ingredients

2 28-ounce tins of whole peeled Tomatoes in juice

1-2 Tablespoons *Raw Sugar (depending on how much sugar is added to your tinned Tomatoes)

3 Tablespoons Extra-Virgin Olive Oil

4 Garlic cloves, minced

2 medium yellow Onions, diced

1 Red Bell Pepper, finely chopped

1 Cup chopped Cauliflower

1 teaspoon dried Oregano

1 teaspoon fresh Basil

Dash of Red Pepper Flakes (optional)

6 tablespoons Nutritional Yeast Flakes (more or less to taste)

2 teaspoons Sea Salt (more or less to taste)

Instructions

Add Olive Oil to a large pot and heat over medium heat.

Add in Garlic and Onion. Cook for 3-5 minutes until tender.

Add in the Red Bell Pepper and cook for another 2 minutes.

Add in the Tomatoes, Raw Sugar, Cauliflower, Oregano, fresh Basil, and Red Pepper Flakes

Bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and allow the mixture to simmer for 25 minutes.

AT THIS TIME… MAKE YOUR GRILLED CHEEZZ BUTTY (Sandwich)

We use our Vegan Gluten Free Bread and Vegan Flavored Cheese and Mayo found at our local Health food store! If you are looking to add more comfort… we add Soy Free Earth Balance Butter to the bread before grilling for that real grilled cheezz flavor!

Turn off heat and purée mixture with an immersion blender for 5 minutes or until the mixture is smooth.

If you don’t have an immersion blender, you can add the mixture to a blender or a food processor…return soup to pan once blending is done.

Add in Sea Salt (to taste) and Nutritional Yeast.

If soup is thicker than desired, add in ¼ to 1 cup water and whisk into soup slowly!

*NOTE: Adding sugar does balance the acidity of tomatoes. You don’t need much, maybe a teaspoon or so. A lot depends on the tomatoes you use. If using canned tomatoes -there may already be some sugar added.

Using 4 Healthy Vegan Items plus any natural flavoring of your choice!

Ingredients:   (Ingredient breakdown after recipe –to be fair!)

2 Bars of dark chocolate of your choice

½ Cup of Raw Organic Cane Sugar

½ Cup of Non Dairy Milk (we use Almond Milk)

2 Tablespoons of Dairy Free Butter.

Step 1:

Use a large pot, fill ¾ with water -bring to a boil, reduce heat.

Step 2:

Use a glass bowl and place into the pot of boiling water, make sure no water gets into the bowl.

Step 3:

Break up the chocolate bars and place into the bowl along with all other ingredients.

Slowly mix and combine all ingredients. The chocolate will start to melt.

Once all is mixed well. Turn stove off. Allow to cool for a few minutes.

At this time you can add natural flavoring…

Sea Salt

Hazelnut

Nutmeg

Cinnamon

Mint, or anything you wish.

Pour in glass jar (we recycle our old marinara sauce jars) and refrigerate. The Chocolate Spread will be liquefied that this time however, after refrigerated it will be a spreadable solid.

Great on Peanut Butter Toast!

Chocolate Bar: Good for you. GOOD. Cocoa Solids, cocoa butter , fat-reduced cocoa powder , raw cane sugar , vanilla extract . Cocoa solids are one of the richest sources of flavanol antioxidants. Raw Cane Sugar: GOOD. Quick The cane is squeezed so the juice can come out, the juice is dirty so it is mixed with slake lime (a relative to chalk) this settles out the dirt. The juice is then evaporated to thicken the mixture. The mixture is boiled in a large pan until it is the right consistency to turn into crystals. The crystals are given a drying with hot air. This is the simplified version. There are no additives or chemicals. Raw sugar is the way to go.

Lettuce Discuss… Churro Flavored Spread

If you haven’t tried churros just try this spread on toast or pancakes its absolutely delicious and easy to make. It is a great treat now and then (although I like it more now than then).

This spread makes a delicious alternative to maple syrup on our pancakes, the great thing about this is you can have it as sweet or as smooth as you like.

To make 1 serving vegan style you will need:

2 tablespoons, “Earth Balance Soy Free Buttery Spread” *

1 tablespoon of Raw Sugar

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

Place all ingredients into a small bowl and mix together with a fork until the mixture is gritty (because of the sugar) but well blended.

Spread the mixture directly onto your toast or pancake while they are hot.

Eat and enjoy mmmmmm niiiice…
